Misting
One zone in the greenhouse is fitted with a high pressure misting system. This area is approximately 3000 m2 and can house some 2.5 million cuttings concurrently. Following our many years' experience with plant cultivation we have opted for a misting system from the Italian firm Vitra.
The misting system is connected to the climate computer and this ensures a constant and high humidity regardless of the outside temperature. Misting has several advantages, including that the cuttings grow more uniformly and it facilitates ventilation.
Because there are no other obstacles, such as tunnels, crop protection products can be applied via the misting boom and the pruning machine can be deployed.
