For many years now, Cotoneaster has been a common plant found in public gardens. JAC Cuttings offers the common varieties such as suec. Coral Beauty, dammeri, dammeri Major, rad. Eichholz and suec. Skogholm. In terms of cultivation, Coral Beauty and Skogholm are relatively simple, so that we can offer these varieties at very competitive prices. For Cotoneaster dammeri, dammeri Major and Eichholz the timing for taking cuttings and the quality of the parent plants have considerable influence on the success rate.
Each year, we produce more than 0.8 million Cotoneasters in 150 cell trays. The dammeri (Major) represents the most popular variety, namely 350,000 cuttings. This variety is sensitive to excess moisture which can cause growth to stagnate. We are therefore more than happy to advise our customers on the use of specific potting compost for Cotoneaster dammeri.
For Cotoneaster, we usually work with one cutting per cell. On customer request, we can also work with two cuttings per cell in a 104 cell tray.
